Summary of Position
We are seeking an IT Summer Student to join us for a 3-month period, beginning in late May or early June.
The position necessitates being present in the office from Monday to Friday every week.
The IT Summer Student will report to the Regional IT Services Manager.
Provide onsite support for various IT hardware and software under the supervision of the Regional IT Services Manager or their designee.

Assist Network/System Administrators by performing onsite tasks to troubleshoot or resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with McCain IS standards and policies, and report any deviations to the relevant departments or Regional IT Services Manager.
Establish a durable and efficient working relationship with end users of all Information Systems services, as this role is one of the most prominent representatives of IS.
Responsibilities
Provide onsite support or collaborate with third-party vendors to assist with a wide range of IT hardware and software, including personal computer hardware/software, peripherals, mobile phones, network printers, server and network hardware, Warehouse Management equipment, computer room/network wiring closet facilities, and phone systems.
May be tasked with monitoring system backups, restoring data, managing mobile phone accounts, raising purchase requests, obtaining quotes, receiving orders, coordinating with local contractors, and ensuring accuracy in work requirements.

Perform software testing and installation to assist in application packaging and deployment.
Follow all relevant IT Service Management practices for Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management by utilizing ITSM tools to self-assign tickets, track ticket progress, and deliver solutions.
Management – responsible to ensure standard McCain PC images are applied and maintained on McCain assets
Things You Need to be Successful
Currently registered in a pertinent college or university program
It is beneficial to have a broad understanding of networking technologies, such as Wireless LANs.
Minimum technical certifications, A+, preferred Microsoft certifications
