GAD Elementary school is seeking a qualified teacher for grades K-3. We are a school that embraces the Sikh faith and fosters a learning environment that encourages collaboration and inquiry. Our goal is to help students develop their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

With your extensive expertise and creative approach, you have the ability to motivate and captivate students. You are actively involved in the process of planning, implementing, and evaluating student learning. You possess a strong expertise in curriculum development and showcase a highly effective teaching approach. You efficiently utilize the resources at your disposal. You provide comprehensive support to learners by implementing a wide range of strategies and approaches. Your dedication to finding innovative solutions helps address the learning challenges faced by students. Your classes are focused on the needs of the students and are engaging. Students, members of your department, colleagues and parents commend your approachability, availability, knowledge, authenticity, and supportiveness. Responsibilities: Implement a student-centered, inquiry-based, and collaborative approach to delivering the B.C. curriculum.

Incorporating First Nations principles of learning into your practice in a clear and meaningful way.

Promote the advancement and progress of individual learners through personalized learning methods.

Collaborate closely with teachers to create, design, and execute an exceptional learning journey for every student.

Develop strong connections with educators and staff members throughout the school community.

Establish yearly objectives for personal development.

Engage actively and maintain a positive attitude in the co-curricular program.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience: Appropriate university qualifications (such as a Bachelor of Education combined with a Bachelor of Arts, Science, or equivalent)

Qualification criteria for B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification

An extensive knowledge of the latest educational practices as outlined in the BC Ministry of Education documents

Dedicated to the art of teaching, implementing effective methods, and upholding high standards of practice

Highly skilled in interpersonal interactions, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving

Adaptable, versatile, and quick-thinking

Applicants must possess a valid BC certification along with either a COQ or SR Independent certificate.

Employment and Application Details: The teaching contract is scheduled to begin in September 2024 and conclude in June 2025.
