These scholars has the capacity to make significant contributions to the international community in the next years. These individuals can be differentiated from their peers who may possess comparable academic achievements based on their extensive range of interests, intellectual vigor, and influence on the school and community.

Qualification

In order to qualify for the Pearson International Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

I am an international student, meaning I am not a Canadian citizen and therefore require a study permit. I am currently in my final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2023. I will commence my studies at the University of Toronto in September 2024. It is important to note that students who are already pursuing post-secondary studies will not be eligible for consideration. Additionally, students who will begin their studies in January 2024 at another post-secondary institution will not be eligible.

The process of applying

The onset of the 2024 Competition is scheduled for September 2023. In order to proceed, it is necessary to:

Obtain a nomination from your educational institution. Uncontacted/verified high schools are required to submit an application to join in our program, which can be found here.Please include an external link. The nomination access for high schools that have previously participated will commence in early September.
To commence your academic pursuits at the University of Toronto in September 2024, it is imperative that you submit your application for admission within the designated dates. Kindly note that you will be eligible for consideration for the Pearson Scholarship in your preferred program at the University of Texas. Students have the opportunity to submit applications for many programs and perhaps gain admission to all of them. However, it is important to note that the Pearson Scholarship, if granted, would be limited to the program of your preference at the University of Toronto at the time of our scholarship evaluations.

After being nominated and submitting an application to the university, individuals have the opportunity to finalize their Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application through the online platform. Upon successful nomination by your school, you will be provided with a confidential connection to access the scholarship application.
Pearson Scholarship Time limits

The deadline for school nominations is November 30, 2023.

The application deadline for student OUAC enrollment is December 15, 2023. Please be advised that the deadline for submitting an application to the OUAC is approaching. While it is possible to apply until December 15, 2023, it is advisable to promptly submit your admission application through the OUAC. It is advisable to submit your admission application prior to November 7, 2023, since program slots are rapidly filled and popular programs may close prematurely.

The deadline for submitting student scholarship applications is January 15, 2024.

It is strictly forbidden to employ generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT and other AI applications, in the process of generating content for any undergraduate award application at the University of Toronto. Disqualification from prize eligibility will be imposed on students and candidates who are found to have utilized generative AI, such as ChatGPT, to generate content that is presented as their own original ideas. The utilization of generative AI for content creation, which is prohibited, will be deemed an academic transgression.
