What is DECIEM?

DECIEM, also known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company,” is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands. It is an industry disruptor that prioritizes a science-first approach to innovation. DECIEM was co-founded in 2013 by the deceased Brandon Truaxe, an innovative individual who aimed to revolutionize the beauty industry by promoting authenticity and transparency.

He established DECIEM as a harmonious community, comprising individuals and beauty brands, centered on values of kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, with Co-Founder and CEO, Nicola Kilner.

We are expanding quickly and seeking an individual who aligns with our vision and is eager to progress alongside us.

CRITERIA

We seek a Social Media Videographer with exceptional creative intuition and a strong enthusiasm for producing content.

This position is a hybrid role located at our main office in Toronto.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

Assist the Social Media Manager and Social Media Associate Manager in creating and developing content with the Creative team.

Help oversee community management accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Keep informed about DECIEM’s product information, company updates, releases, and marketing initiatives.

Cultivate, sustain, and enhance professional relationships with customers.

Consistently uphold and manage the brand voice in all communications
Help customers with inquiries on all platforms.

Manage social media campaigns as needed.

Follow company policies, social media guidelines, and regulations.

Monitor current social media trends and propose strategies to boost interaction.
Assist in creating and managing our social media content schedule.

Proficient in creating and editing TikToks/Reels, with a strong understanding of the TikTok platform.
Track and analyze popular videos and audios on TikTok/Reels to support content creation and enhancement.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

Prior experience creating TikToks/Reels, including editing skills and familiarity with the TikTok platform, is necessary.

Applicants must have a passion for content creation and be adept at speaking on camera.

Advanced video editing skills, specifically in PremierePro and/or Final Cut Pro, are necessary.

Enjoy seamless live streaming and proficient in graphic design work.

Proficiency in all current social platforms, demonstrated experience in social networking, and knowledge of social analytics tools.

Possessing knowledge of SEO and marketing tools is advantageous.
