The Candidate List of individuals who express interest in short-term contractual or temporary positions, when they become available, is maintained by Memorial University. The diverse roles encompassed within this category consist of clerical, secretarial, administrative, accounting, and student support occupations.

Responsibilities may encompass offering overall office reception for a department, which involves tasks such as composing letters, other forms of communication, and reports; organizing and disseminating mail; responding to inquiries through email, face-to-face interactions, or telephone from faculty, staff, and students; coordinating meetings and room reservations; arranging travel arrangements; and carrying out other relevant responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

A minimum requirement is a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in clerical, secretarial, or administrative program operations. Alternatively, completion of a 2-year office or business administration program is also acceptable. Alternatively, any equivalent combination of experience and training is acceptable. Assets in this context encompass strong organizational abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the capacity to effectively multitask.

Applicants for these positions must satisfy the precise criteria outlined for the respective roles and will undergo assessment based on their academic background, professional experience, and demonstrated competencies.

A willingness to engage in temporary employment is necessary.
